How often do you get stung as a beekeeper?
If you’re afraid of getting stung - stay away! You will get stung but how often depends on the temperament of your bees.

- How much does it cost to start beekeeping?
The initial outlay for your first hive and equipment, would be +/- £300. You would initially need to purchase a protective beekeeping suit and gloves as well as a smoker and hive tool. You will however be starting a fascinating and remunerative hobby, so you will see the benefits in the medium to long term.
- How much honey can one beehive produce?
One hive can produce 60lb (27kg) or more in a good season, however an average hive would be around 25lb (11kg) surplus.
